Roxford C. Oswalt, 61, RR 4, Attica, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette shortly after admission.
  For the past 15 years, Oswalt owned and operated a grocery store in Independence. He was a retired farmer and lived all of his life in the Attica area. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School.

  Born December 20, 1919 in Boswell, he was the son of Albert Raymond and Cora Eberly Oswalt. He married Evelyn R. Morgan in Williamsport December 20, 1940. She survives. He was a member of Murat Grotto of Lafayette, Green Hill Masonic Lodge 455, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and Riverview United Methodist Church.

  Other survivors include his mother of Attica; a son, Charles of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Morris of RR 2, Otterbein; a brother, Edward of RR 2, Attica; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and sister.
  Services were conducted Tuesday at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial was in Independence Cemetery. – thanks to S
